Description
This is a hard copy pattern which also has a link to download a copy to your Ravelry account.
King Louie is an asymmetric shawl worked in two colours of fingering weight yarn. It showcases hand dyed yarns beautifully. It is a great first time crocheted shawl, as it primarily uses double crochet (US terminology), and just a few other skills (such as increasing and decreasing)!
I’m going to attempt this one for a sample.
Gauge: 19 sts x 11 rows = 4” x 4” 10cm x 10cm in double crochet, unblocked; Blocked gauge varied wildly due to stretching in opposing directions:
- Color A Inc Section: 19sts x 10rows = 4” 10cm
- Color B Inc Section: 16sts x 11rows = 4” 10cm
Finished Measurements: 68” [173cm] longest length x 20” [51cm] depth
Materials Used: Fingering / sock weight yarn 445 yards (425 m) / approx. 100 grams per skein;
Colour A – 1 skein; Colour B – 1 skein
