Description

If you are looking for a fun shawl to make in either 4 ply / Fingering or DK Weight yarn, then this is the perfect project. The simple and repetitive pattern is easy to memorise and will get you quickly hooked. This project is made using Tunisian Simple Stitch, with increases at the end of each Forward Pass, and bind offs at the start of every 10th row to create the saw tooth effect.  The size of this asymmetric triangular shawl can be easily adapted depending on the yarn quantity available.

Finished Size: approx. 59”/ 150 cm long x 19”/ 48 cm at widest point, after blocking.

Tension (after blocking):

4 ply / Fingering Weight version: 24 stitches x 20 rows to 4”/ 10 cm over TSS using 5mm Tunisian crochet hook or size needed to achieve correct tension.

DK Weight version: 19 stitches x 16 rows to 4”/ 10 cm over TSS using 6.5mm Tunisian crochet hook or size needed to achieve correct tension.

Note: tension is not critical for this shawl, but it may affect the yarn usage and the size of the finished item.
