Finished Measurements:
- Unicorn Luck: As this shawl is highly adaptable, the finished dimensions will vary with yardage. Sample used 106 g (490 yds/448 m) fingering yarn and measured 54”/137 cm for A (top edge/wingspan), 88/”224 cm for B (bottom edge), and 13.5”/34 cm for C (depth). (See schematic in photos.)

- Apollo’s Favor: As this shawl is highly adaptable, the finished dimensions will vary with yardage. Sample used 874 yards/799 m DK yarn and has 72”/183 cm wingspan and 31”/79 cm depth.
Materials Used:
- Unicorn Luck: 1 colour fingering yarn. Recommend at least 100 g skein. May use different weights or amounts if desired, though this will affect the finished size of the shawl.
- Dragon’s Fortune: 2 colours fingering yarn. Recommend at least 100 g skein of each. May use different weights or amounts if desired, though this will affect the finished size of the shawl.
- Apollo’s Favor: 3 colours DK yarn. Recommend at least 100 g skein of each. May use different weights or amounts if desired, though this will affect the finished size of the shawl.
Needle Size:
- Unicorn Luck: US 7/4.5 mm for fingering weight. Use smaller needles for finer yarn and larger needles for thicker yarn to achieve a drapey fabric.
- Dragon’s Fortune: US 5/3.75 mm for scales and US 7/4.5 mm for garter, both for fingering weight. Use smaller needles for finer yarn and larger needles for thicker yarn to achieve a drapey fabric.
- Apollo’s Favor: US 9/5.5-mm circular needles to knit flat, or size needed to obtain gauge for DK weight. Use smaller needles for finer yarn and larger needles for thicker yarn to achieve a drapey fabric.
