A skein of undyed superwash and merino DK weight yarn, perfect for colourwork.
Superwash Merino
Merino yarn is the perfect blend of softness and strength, with a luxurious feel. Generally all of the merino I use is sourced from Argentina, Uruguay and Europe, making it non-mulesing.
All of the bases containing merino has been treated with a superwash, which not only flattens the fibres, but also makes it less prone to felting.
This means that it is possible to be machine washed, although I recommend hand washing in a wool wash solution such as Eucalan.
Depending on the intensity of colours there may be slight colour bleeding on the first wash. Please do not tumble dry.
Needle and Hook Sizes
I recommend the following range of needles and hooks for different projects. Swatching is certainly the best method to ensure that the fabric you create is in line with the pattern requirements, so please check your gauge.
- Socks 3.00mm – 3.25mm
- Sweaters 3.25mm – 4.00mm
- Shawls 4.50mm – 5.00mm
- Crochet hook 4.50mm – 5.50mm
- Tunisian crochet hook 5.50mm – 7.00mm
